INSTALL professionals reflect superior training. INSTALL professionals challenge themselves. INSTALL professionals are ready to work when a job needs staffed with experts who will get the job done right, the first time. Every time. When you wear the INSTALL stripes, you represent the best in the business.
You are INSTALL. Wear it with pride.
INSTALL stands for the International Standards & Training Alliance — and you’re an essential part of that alliance. As an INSTALL North Central States mechanic, you’re the ambassador for all that INSTALL signifies:
Professionalism: INSTALL craftsmen are confident and proud. That fosters a work ethic that boosts productivity and a commitment to quality. Professionalism is evident in our work, our appearance and our customer relations. We see ourselves not only as partners in the project, but also as partners in the project’s success.
Competence: INSTALL certification is gained only after four years of theoretical and hands-on training and after demonstrating fundamental skill mastery, graduated levels of skill competence, written proof of theoretical knowledge, and hands-on proficiency. And training isn’t just for apprentices. Ongoing skill-upgrade training is mandatory, so that the latest in floorcovering techniques, products, and technology are always part of an INSTALL toolbox.
Precision: INSTALL professionals master the theory and practice of proper floor preparation, installation, and finishing procedures specifically for carpet, linoleum, vinyl and other resilients, hardwood, laminate, tile, stone, artificial turf and sports surfaces, and much more.

Training Schedule Spring 2013 (Click Here)Don't let your hard earned INSTALL certification expire. INSTALL requires 8 hrs of upgrade training to renew your certification. This 8 hrs is over 4 years, (with a 1 year grace period), meaning you have 5 years to do 4 upgrades. 1 upgrade = 2hrs. Current contract language remains as it has been for many years. Article 14.02 "Each journeyperson installer must attend at least two (2) floor covering seminars, planned at reasonable times, approved by the Joint Apprenticeship Committee, and attended by a Joint Apprenticeship Committee member or their representative, in any given contract year between June 1st and may 31st in order to qualify for their next pay increase..."
Please contact Chris or Kelly at the training center (651-221-1304) with questions concerning your current upgrade hour status.
